An Afternoon at Sunny Creek Nursing Home

In the fall of 2022, I was a playwright for my college's annual 24 Hour Theatre Project (A collaborative theatre project with 3-5 groups working to write, rehearse, and perform short plays within 24 hours). My play was titled "An Afternoon at Sunny Creek Nursing Home," and the synopsis is as follows: "On an ordinary day at Sunny Creek nursing home, Frederick Cornwall is enjoying his afternoon nap when he is rudely interrupted by two mysterious visitors, Lucinda & Eleanor. Unbeknownst to Frederick, Lucinda and Eleanor are actually Edgar and Leonard, two fellow residents of Sunny Creek. Edgar and Leonard are under the impression that Frederick is quite wealthy and they each hope to be part of Frederick’s inheritance. Both Edgar and Leonard have independently come up with the idea of posing as a woman and convincing Frederick to marry them so that they can inherit his money. Over the cross of the play, Edgar and Leonard are competing against each other for Frederick’s hand in marriage."
