I recently started therapy and medication to treat depression and anxiety that I've experienced for a large portion on my life. It took me a long time to start this journey because I was raised in a community that put a stigma around mental health treatment. This made is very hard for to me to rationalize these self care practices and to feel good about doing them. As I venture further into this mental health journey, I wanted to create this project as a way to give a shout out to one of the previous treatments I prescribed myself.
